Functional Description

Java Virtual Machines from Trolltech partners are available for Qtopia. Java applications integrate seamlessly providing Java content with a native Qtopia look and feel.

A number of JSRs are relevant to Java integrated on Qtopia Phone:

There are also "container" JSRs, which include some selected JSR and define more precise optional features. Those JSR are usually used as "minimal" requirement in customers RFIs

Most of above JSR are now included in the "container" JSRs 248, also known as MSA. MSA is split into "MSA subset" and "MSA full set". According Sun "MSA subset" is likely to become mandatory by summer 2007.

Older, but still in-use "container" JSR is 185 also known as JTWI. There is JTWI 1.0 and 2.0. The main difference there is in messaging - 1.0 uses SMS and 2.0 uses MMS.
