Interprocess Communication (IPC) Functional Description
Qtopia provides an asynchronous message-passing mechanism called QCop for sending simple messages between applications. It is used to provide system functionality such as sending SMS messages, manipulating contacts and accessing third-party applications such as a web-browser. This mechanism provides the foundation of Qtopia Services.
